Cancelled Events: Men's Group, Ladies Retreat, TCConnect

Next Sunday: TBD

As announced from the stage this morning and on FB, we are rescheduling the Ladies Retreat for the fall. We have also cancelled the TCConnect, the next one is scheduled for April 19th.

All other events are still scheduled and will continue to be re-evaluated as we approach them and the ongoing dynamic environment.

The Pastors and Staff are continuing to discuss what our Sunday Gatherings will look like. There are several hurdles to overcome, but we are working and praying feverishly for how God would like us best to proceed.

As always, we want to make sure everyone is making the best decisions for themselves and their families. If we have an event that you are not comfortable with attending/serving, we will ensure that an online version is available. We will be increasing our presence on Facebook and Email to ensure that we can still be the community that God calls us to be as we seek to provide and pray for one another. There are many families that will be struggling financially, many people who will be struggling with the depression that follows isolation, and many who will be battling illness. Please be in prayer for all of them.

Lastly, pray for peace. Pray that our society would not polarize over this and that the Church would be a place of understanding, of compassion, and of unrelenting love toward everyone, especially those with whom we disagree.

TCC Family,

As COVID-19 continues to spread, many institutions have taken precautionary measures to prevent further spread while attempting to minimize the impact on daily life. As followers of Christ, we need to be reminded that in times such as these God is in control.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. – John 14:27 (ESV)

Like so many other contemporary issues, this too has already created much division. Those who see COVID-19 as an overly dramatized media frenzy and those who are gravely concerned about their own health and those they love. As Christians we need to remain above the fray and recognize that each is entitled to their own opinions and each encouraged to freely discern their own course of action. Let us gather alongside each other and support each other in this uncertain time.

With that background, the Pastors and Staff at TCC desire to continue a communal gathering to worship God while also taking steps to help prevent further spread of COVID-19. Below identifies the steps we are currently taking to ensure all the above is respected.

  • Family gathering on Sundays at 10:30am will continue.
  • For any immuno-compromised individuals, please consider remaining at home. We will be recording and posting the entire gathering (worship, sermon, time of response, benediction) on Sunday evenings so that you can participate as much as possible.
  • If you or your children are sick, please do not come to the Gathering. If someone becomes sick while at the Gathering, we will ask you to return to your home and continue your worship that evening when the Gathering is posted online.
  • We will be sanitizing door handles and many items at the church to include kids toys. Please realize that these efforts, while substantial, will never guarantee a sanitized environment.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available upon entering church. Please limit handshakes and close contact with each other.
  • Communion will not be administered at church. We highly encourage those who desire to celebrate communion to do so with their Community Groups and/or families.
  • Coffee/Donuts will not be provided at church. Please refrain from consuming food during the Gathering. CrossingLittles will still receive snacks; however, they will be washing their hands before and after snack time.
  • We ask that all volunteers review their schedules and if they no longer feel comfortable serving, please notify your Team Captains as soon as possible.

The Pastors and Staff will continue to evaluate the situation and adjust measures as required. We will post on the Facebook Family Page, Email, and update this site if information changes. For now, no scheduled events have been cancelled.

Please pray for continued wisdom and discernment as our world navigates these new and unknown challenges.

In Christ,

Jonathan Kassebaum
